A dry creek bed is a gravel-lined channel built to carry surface water during and after rain events. It looks like a natural stream bed when dry and functions as a drainage channel when wet. Unlike a French drain, it handles surface water rather than subsurface water, making it ideal for areas where sheet flow across a lawn or landscape is the primary problem.

Our Installation Process
We assess the slope, the water source, and the destination outlet before designing the channel. We excavate the path, lay filter fabric to prevent soil migration, select appropriate stone for the channel, and grade the edges so the bed integrates naturally with the surrounding lawn and landscape. We handle the full project from design through cleanup.
